Fantasy Football: 3 reasons you should take Patrick Mahomes over Lamar Jackson

The top of the quarterback position features two different styles between Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson. Which player is a better option in fantasy football in 2020?

Despite the Ravens’ season ending in another disappointing playoff run, Jackson led them to a 13-2 record in his starts while winning the MVP in the process. He racked up 3,127 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns (league-most), and six interceptions. One the ground, he added 1,206 rushing yards, and seven rushing touchdowns.

As for Mahomes, he suffered a week injury during a Thursday Night Football matchup with the Denver Broncos. He was expected to miss three-to-five games but was sidelined for just two weeks. This resulted in lower overall volume in his season-wide production.

On the season, Mahomes ended up appearing in 14 games and racked up 4,031 passing yards, 26 passing touchdowns, and five interceptions. He chipped in 218 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground, too.

With taking all of that into consideration, let’s take a look at three reasons why you should take Patrick Mahomes over Lamar Jackson in fantasy football in 2020.
