3. D’Andre Swift, Detroit Lions
D’Andre Swift was drafted in the second round by the Lions. There is every reason to believe that he will be the starter down the line and turn into a productive player, but this might not happen right away in Week 1. So it’s something for fantasy football owners to keep an eye on.
The Lions plan to start Kerryon Johnson this week against the Chicago Bears. This is already a tough matchup against a defense like the Bears, but there are other factors to take into account.
Swift has been dealing with a leg injury and it is unknown if he will enter the first game at full strength. The Lions signed Adrian Peterson after he was released by Washington. His role might not be large considering he won’t have much time with the team.
Swift is going to be a great option in a keeper or dynasty league. Detroit will eventually move to the top of the depth chart and use his duel-threat abilities to dominate in the backfield. This list is just for Week 1 and he is a risky play against the Bears.
