Henry Ruggs III
Going with a rookie can be a risky proposition in a fantasy league when every point can matter. Rookies enter the league with high expectations but without any of the NFL snaps to back it up.
Wide receivers can struggle getting used to the speed of NFL corners and the complexity of defenses which makes choosing a rookie wide receiver even tougher. But if there is one guy who could be a sleeper pick, Ruggs III is the man.
Ruggs III will end up being the primary deep threat for the Raiders this year in their first year in Las Vegas. With a decent year from Carr that should result in a lot of receptions and yards for the rookie and could land him high up fantasy leader boards by the end of the year.
In a highly favorable matchup with the Carolina Panthers in Week 1, expect Ruggs III to shoot onto the scene and make a statement. It’s important for fantasy football players to capitalize on these types of situations.
