Daniel Jones eclipses 30+ passing touchdowns
When Jones was selected with the No. 6 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the majority of Giants fans were in awe — and not in a good way. The Duke product would be booed while he had his name called, placing a ton of pressure on him once he stepped foot on the field.
Despite fans in New York being disappointed in the draft pick, Jones would exceed expectations in his rookie campaign. While replacing Eli Manning as the starting quarterback, Jones would finish his first year in the NFL with 3,027 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. Even amidst his impressive rookie season, Jones would show a glaring weakness in fumbling the ball, losing 11 fumbles in 2019 (most in the NFL).
Nevertheless, with a slew of weapons at his disposal and a bolstered offensive line, Jones could be in store for a better sophomore season. Taking that into consideration, Jones will finish with 30+ passing touchdowns in 2020. Only four quarterbacks threw 30+ passing touchdowns a season ago.
