Ja’Marr Chase, LSU

Not only is J’Marr Chase the top wide receiver in the SEC heading into the 2020 season, but he’s also quite possibly the best overall player in the conference as a whole. The focus for NFL teams when scouting wide receivers in all of college football will start with him.

It doesn’t take long to be highly impressed with Chase when watching him play. He puts on a masterclass in route-running at 6-1 to create separation even against the best of the top corners. Additionally, he can pull down tough contested catches and has real separation speed.

The production Chase provided the Tigers during his sophomore campaign was nothing short of incredible. He racked up 84 catches for 1,780 yards, and 20 touchdowns in 14 performances filling a pivotal role in a genuinely historic offense.

Anytime a Biletnikoff Award winner returns back to school, it’s safe to assume he will have another incredible season. He has set himself up quite nicely to be the first wide receiver prospect to be selected in the 2021 NFL Draft if he follows up his 2019 campaign.
