Mitchell Trubisky, Chicago Bears
Week 2 matchup: vs. New York Giants, Sunday, Sept. 20
Leads Bears to 2-0
What a comeback it was for the Bears in Week 1. Trubisky looked like the 2019 version of himself over the first three quarters of the game. In the fourth quarter, he completed eight of his 10 passes with three touchdowns. After a season-opening victory, the Bears will have a chance to go 2-0 against the Giants.
Chicago will have to show up defensively in this one. After watching the Giants on Monday night, there are some holes on their offensive line. Trubisky will also be an x-factor in this game. If he performs like he did in the fourth quarter against Detroit, the Bears will be successful.
No turnovers
Trubisky did not throw an interception in the opener. He produced a line that is uncommon. Trubisky will look to turn that line into a regular thing and it begins in Week 2. New York’s defense started out well against the Steelers but eventually came back down to earth.
The Bears cannot afford to turn the ball over on the road. Trubisky has to make good decisions against the Giants. They are expected to be one of the bottom teams in the NFC so this is a chance for Trubisky to write a new narrative on himself.
