Darren Waller
The jump in production that Darren Waller provided the Las Vegas Raiders in 2019 was incredible. He played a full-time starter for the first time in his career and quickly became Derek Carr’s favorite receiving threat, solidifying himself as an elite tight end in the NFL.
During his 16 performances, Waller was targeted 117 times resulting in 90 catches, 1,145 yards, and three touchdowns. He exceed his prior best mark for yards within a single-season by 1,060 while also topping his personal best for touchdowns within that same span by one.
To put Waller’s production into perspective, the only tight end to finish with more receiving yards last season was Travis Kelce. Additionally, Waller ranked 15th in the NFL in this category when comparing to wide receivers, too.
The potential Waller has as a receiving threat is fascinating to think about given the Raiders just added Henry Ruggs III into the mix. Opposing teams will certainly have their hands full trying to slow them down along with Josh Jacobs in the backfield.
