Much like the Saints, the Steelers have an aging quarterback who may be closing in on retirement. Ben Roethlisberger and Jameis Winston are both very similar in play style. They love pushing the ball down the field and taking risks. Roethlisberger has the same gunslinger mentality of Jameis Winston.

If this is Roethlisberger’s last year Winston is a perfect replacement. If Roethlisberger returns, he could mentor Winston and mold him to be the starter.

Jameis Winston is still only 26-years-old, so he has plenty of football left in him. Roethlisberger has hinted at retirement a few times, which isn’t surprising because of his injury and his age. However, he also stated he would like to finish the remainder of his contract. The future is still up in the air, that is why Winston is perfect. He can serve as a backup for a year, learn the system under Roethlisberger, and then come out firing once Roethlisberger retires.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have a lot of talent, especially on the defensive end. Despite terrible QB play from Mason Rudolph and Delvin Hodges, the Steelers managed to finish 8-8. They almost made it into the playoffs.

With Jameis Winston pushing the ball down the field the offense will be able to put points on the board. It could be a perfect combination of aggressive offense and aggressive defense.
