2. San Francisco 49ers
The wide receiver position is an area that general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan have been focused on since joining the franchise. They have made some moves in the draft including Deebo Samuel, who finished with 802 yards during his rookie season.
Samuel is a main cog in the offense along with George Kittle. The San Francisco 49ers recently signed their All-Pro tight end to a five-year, $75 million contract. Kendrick Bourne and rookie Brandon Aiyuk will also be featured on the depth chart. There is plenty of unknown in the receiving room. This is why the Niners added Emmanuel Sanders for the second half of the 2019 season.
Sanders is now with the New Orleans Saints. The Niners will have another chance to add a veteran receiver following the 2020 season. AJ Green is a receiver that could thrive under Shanahan. The defense in San Francisco is elite. They will need to bolster their offense a bit more if they want to return to the Super Bowl and take home a win.
San Francisco is already one of the top teams in the NFL. Could you imagine if they added Green on the outside to join Samuel with Kittle at tight end? This is the type of offense they need if they want to keep up with the Kansas City Chiefs.
