4. Baltimore Ravens
No team ran the ball better than the Baltimore Ravens in 2019. Actually, it was not close. Baltimore ran for 206 yards per game, which was 62 more yards than anyone else in the league. Unanimous MVP Lamar Jackson rushed for 1,206 yards while Mark Ingram finished with 1,018 yards. Adding AJ Green to this offense will give them another weapon on the outside.
Marquise Brown is expected to have a big 2020 season. Willie Snead IV and Miles Boykin will also be featured in the offense along with tight end Mark Andrews. The Ravens offense was dynamic in 2020. Jackson led the NFL with 36 passing touchdowns. This was good enough to lead the Ravens to a 14-2 record and No. 1 seed in the AFC last season, but it was not good enough in the postseason.
Baltimore was bounced in the divisional round by the Tennessee Titans. Jackson’s consistency with his arm was shaky in 2019. He had three games where he did not throw a touchdown. He also had three games with five touchdowns, two against the Miami Dolphins. Green would balance the offensive attack and give Jackson a reliable option on the outside.
The Ravens’ offensive plan is simple. They like to run the football and they do it extremely well. This will not change in 2020, especially since they used a second round pick on J.K. Dobbins. Green is a name to watch for the Ravens if they want to add another weapon.
