Carolina Panthers: Mike Davis

The Panthers have one of the top running backs in football. Christian McCaffrey signed a monster contract with Carolina and he will have the chance to play under Rhule this season. Behind McCaffrey on the depth chart is Davis.

Davis is entering the final year of his contract with the Panthers and will be a free agent following the 2020 season. Davis has bounced around during his career. He spent two years in San Francisco followed by two years in Seattle to begin his career.

Davis then went to Chicago and is now in Carolina. He played in five games for the Panthers in 2019. This is a situation where McCaffrey will dominate the backfield and Davis could be used as a blocker.

Davis will carry a $3 million cap hit for the 2020 season. He is a player that has been all over the place to begin his career and that could continue if the Panthers choose to trade him during the season.
