Atlanta Falcons: Ricardo Allen

Allen played in and started all 16 games for the Falcons in 2019. He logged two interceptions and 85 tackles. Heading into the 2020 season, Allen will be under contract for the next two years and carries a $7.4 million cap hit.

Keanu Neal will return in 2020 after missing 13 games last season with a torn Achilles. Allen will get some time for Atlanta if he is on the roster but the team is high on Neal.

This is the final year of Neal’s deal but he will most likely be brought back on a new contract. Allen was given a chance to show his worth last season and other teams have been put on notice. The strong safety position will go back to Neal and the Falcons will face a decision.

Allen is a solid player. There is a chance that the Falcons could get a nice return for their 28 year old safety. Having Allen on the roster provides depth and experience. This is a win-win situation for the Falcons moving forward
