2. Khalil Mack – Chicago Bears
While Khalil Mack wasn’t as destructive last season as he was in 2018, he’s still a dominant edge rusher. The 29-year-old pass rusher can ruin an offensive gameplan and the focus often starts with trying to contain him. While he only had 8.5 sacks last season, he faced double and even triple teams often.
Stats can be deceiving when viewed without context and if you look at Mack’s production in 2019, many would assume it was a down year for one of the league’s most feared edge rushers. However, Mack still managed to rank fourth in forced fumbles with four. That is almost a forced fumble every other sack. He also trailed only Aaron Donald in QB hurries.
Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano knows just how good Mack is. In fact, Pagano expressed his belief that if Mack was left alone in one-on-one situations, he would “win that matchup 99.9% of the time.”
“He’s a freak. Left alone, one-on-one, he’s going to probably win that matchup 99.9% of the time, because he doesn’t take any downs off,” Pagano told ESPN’s Jeff Dickerson. “He does not take any downs off.”

Next season, Mack is primed for a big year. Chicago’s defensive tackle Akiem Hicks is returning from injury, which should alleviate some pressure off of Mack. The opposition simply will not be able to triple-team him like they did last season.
