6. Danielle Hunter – Minnesota Vikings

Danielle Hunter is a monster off the edge in Minnesota. At only 25 years old, Hunter has 54.5 career sacks. Hunter is actually the youngest player in NFL history to reach 50 sacks.

While he has been very good so far, it is only the beginning for Hunter. Last season, Hunter tied his career high in sacks with 14.5. He has now hit that number two seasons in a row.

However, Hunter improved dramatically as a tackler. In 2018, Hunter had a missed tackle percentage of 10%, which is a respectable number. In 2019, however, he improved to 2.8%. Hunter only had two missed tackles all season.

While Hunter improved as a tackler and run stopper, he is without a doubt known for his incredible pass rush ability. Hunter is a dominant edge rusher, and is only improving his game. Last season was Hunter’s career best in terms of forcing turnovers. He forced a career high three forced fumbles.

Hunter has an incredible combination of speed and strength. He can beat opposing offensive linemen with clubs, rips, swims, counters, or even just a straight bull-rush. Hunter has every tool at his disposal and makes it impossible for linemen to know what is coming.

A dominant pass rush can win games. Danielle Hunter is living proof that is true, and he has a very bright future ahead of him.
