Week 1 – Minnesota Vikings (Road)

Last season, the Green Bay Packers finally got the monkey off their back by not just beating the Minnesota Vikings, but sweeping them to win the NFC North. In 2020, The Packers start off the season with a bang in a must win game at the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.

Green Bay looks about the same add or minus a couple players, but Minnesota will look different across half of their starting positions. They released or traded their starting cornerbacks, half of their defensive line, and stud wide receiver in Stefon Diggs.  Add on the fact Dalvin Cook is threatening a hold out for a bigger contract and the offense would be like losing the engine to their car.

Minnesota looks like they are in a mini rebuild and seem to have lost more than they have gained. That doesn’t bode well against a Green Bay team that is much more stabilized and is considered top tier NFC. Nothing sets the tone better for Green Bay’s season by getting a must win in Week 1 let alone against your top division rival.
