2. Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams had something of a down year last season, but still finished with a winning record, and still came out the other side with a stacked roster on both sides of the ball.
Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods might be the most underrated 1-2 receiver combo in the NFL, with a young productive quarterback on their side in Jared Goff, a promising rookie running back in Cam Akers, a solid tight end group featuring Gerald Everett and Tyler Higbee, and still one of the smartest offensive head coaches in the league in Sean McVay.
McVay’s offense struggled by his insane, inflated standards in 2019, but still ranked seventh in points per game and 11th in yards. They were still productive last year, and with the returning talent, the rookie addition of Akers, and the continued development of Goff as a quarterback and McVay as a head coach, the team should continue to move the ball well.
And not to be outdone, but the Rams still have the best defensive player in the NFL in Aaron Donald. Alongside maybe the best cornerback in Jalen Ramsey, and a great young EDGE rusher in Leonard Floyd.
Aside from some weaknesses along the offensive line and the defensive secondary, the Rams have a strong roster with elite coaching and even better talent. Toss last season out the window, Los Angeles should be in the mix for the NFC West.
