Wide Receivers

The Vikings had the luxury of one of the top receiving corps in the league over the last few years. Adam Thielen burst onto the scene as an elite receiver along with Stefon Diggs. In 2019, Diggs led the team with 1,130 yards but was traded to the Buffalo Bills prior to the draft. This Vikings added a first round pick in 2020 and they were in need of a No. 2 in the draft.

Justin Jefferson fell into the Vikings’ lap at No. 22 after the Philadelphia Eagles opted for Jalen Reagor. Jefferson was an electric receiver for an undefeated LSU team last season. He finished with 111 catches for 1,540 yards and 18 touchdowns. He will join Thielen who has quickly turned into one of the most reliable receivers in the league.

Thielen played just 10 games in 2019. In 2018, he broke out with 91 catches for 1,276 yards. He continued the next year with 113 catches for 1,373 yards and nine touchdowns. The du of Thielen and Jefferson will be fun to watch come the season. Tajae Sharpe and Bisi Johnson will also see some targets from Cousins in the upcoming year.
