4 positions the Cowboys must focus on in the NFL Draft

The Dallas Cowboys have plenty of positions that could use more impact before the end of the season. With free agency winding down significantly, the NFL Draft will be their best mechanism to add talent.

Before the 2019 season began, the Cowboys had high expectations and for good reason given the talent they had. They even managed to get off to a 3-0 start but that quickly diminished once they were no longer playing some of the worst teams in the league.

An inability to defeat teams with winning records put the Cowboys on the fast track to an 8-8 record. To make matters worse, they had a chance to still control their own destiny in terms of winning the NFC East late in the season but lost 17-9 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

While the coaching job Jason Garrett did for the Cowboys was certainly a contributing factor in their shortcomings, there are issues with the roster that still need to be addressed. Losing a variety of key players in free agency opened additional needs, too.

With that being said, there are four positions that stand out as areas the Cowboys should focus on in the 2020 NFL Draft.
