While the Steelers will likely do what they can to keep Juju, they have yet to extend his contract. There is a chance that Juju hits the open market. When he does, Washington should pounce on the opportunity to get him. Juju is a fantastic route runner all over the field, but he works the best in the slot.

This would fit well for Washington who already has a deep threat in McLaurin and a big-bodied target in rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden. In three-receiver sets, Smith-Schuster would work from the slot where he is at his best.

While Smith-Schuster is known for his receiving ability, his ability as a run-blocker should not be cast aside. Juju does a great job ceiling corners, cracking down on linebackers, and creating big run plays by picking up safeties. He is one of the league’s best blocking receivers. He could help transform Washington’s rushing offense, an area the team must improve.

Adding Smith-Schuster also will help the growth of younger players. While he is still only 23-years-old, he has knowledge beyond his years. Having him around will provide great leadership and a team-first mentality. It also gives Haskins another quality star receiver with a lot of upside in his game.
