The Seattle Seahawks appear to be in the market to add another wide receiver for franchise-quarterback Russell Wilson before the start of the 2020 season. They have recently been linked to free-agent Antonio Brown.
According to 710 ESPN’s John Clayton, Russell Wilson ‘would love’ for the Seahawks to sign Brown. It was reported that it may potentially not be ‘until July or August’ that a potential signing could take place if they were to pursue that option.
The NFL would still need to clear Brown before he’d be given permission to play again. There is also a possibility he could receive a suspension after being reinstated by the league. So there would be things to sort through before it’s a certainty that he’d take the field for game action.
During his last full season in the NFL, Brown totaled 104 receptions, 1,297 yards, and 15 touchdowns (league-most) in 15 appearances. He put together a run starting in 2013 through 2018 that rivaled any five year stretch by a wide receiver in NFL history.
With that being said, here are three ways Antonio Brown would impact the Seahawks if signed.
