The New York Jets were one of the most talked about teams in the NFL heading into the 2019 NFL season. After an aggressive offseason, the Jets were widely expected to take a big leap forward. Unfortunately, that did not end up being the case and the Jets missed the playoffs once again.
When everything was said and done, the Jets finished the season with a 7-9 record. It wasn’t what they were hoping for and Adam Gase didn’t look great in his first season as New York’s head coach.
Now, the Jets have to focus on adding more talent this offseason. Gase will need to figure things out and how to work with the roster he is given. There should be no more excuses made for anyone in New York, including the head coach.
Sam Darnold and company have quite a bit of talent, but they still need to add more pieces. Le’Veon Bell struggled in his first season with the Jets, but there is optimism that he could improve with a full offseason of work.
