Ifeadi Odenigbo
Early in free agency, the Vikings and veteran Everson Griffen agreed to mutually part ways due to Minnesota’s limited financial resources. Before being let go, Griffen was the longest-tenured member of the Vikings, playing the past 10 seasons in purple and gold.
Despite both sides agreeing to part ways, there is still a chance that Minnesota reunites with the longtime defensive end this offseason. But if they aren’t able to bring back Griffen, the Vikings could be inclined to lean on Ifeadi Odenigbo as their No. 2 edge rusher alongside Hunter.
Just a season ago, as a rotational pass rusher, Odenigbo flashed plenty of upside, notching seven sacks, a forced fumble, and 13 quarterback hits. Now, with the starting role seemingly under his belt, Odenigbo will need to show that 2019 was just the beginning of his journey with the Vikings.
