Impressive Talent on Defense

The Indianapolis Colts have one of the NFL’s best linebackers in Darius Leonard along with a premier pass rusher in veteran Justin Houston. Let’s not forget, Anthony Walker shows tons of promise and their front seven is now among the best. The issue, however, is the secondary. The idea is that the strong front seven and pass rush will help aid the secondary, though.

The good thing about the Colts is that they are a team built to control the clock. Signing Deforest Buckner brings another pass rusher who can create havoc from the inside. Indianapolis is putting together a winning formula, similar to that of the 49ers.

The strong running game and leadership of Philip Rivers on offense will allow the defense to rest. With all of their stars fully rested, the defensive playmakers will be given more freedom.

The secondary has plenty of youth and with the help of veteran Xavier Rhodes, they will have a better understanding of the game. The Colts are going into this season with hope and will have some obstacles to overcome, but regardless, this truly could be their year.
