Khalil Mack Gets Three Sacks
One of the best pass-rushers in the NFL is about to go off.
Khalil Mack’s talent will never be in question. For as long as he’s playing, Mack has earned the reputation for being a game-wrecker, and one of the best players at his position. But for as great as Mack is, the production wasn’t quite there alongside him for much of 2019. That should take a dramatic change in 2020, at least in Week One.
Mack wasn’t able to record a single-sack last season against Detroit, but the Lions have parted ways with two of their starting linemen from last season, and are expected to replace them with a Day Two rookie and an underwhelming free-agent signing.
If Mack can get some time working against them on the right side of the line, he more than has the talent to make for a nightmare matchup. The Lions were lucky enough to keep a player as good as Mack shut down for two games, but they won’t be so lucky in Week One.
