Jeff Okudah Gets A Pick In His First Game
Jeff Okudah, the star cornerback out of Ohio State, was seen widely as one of the most pro-ready prospects to come out of the 2020 Draft. AND he filled a position of need for Detroit. He was the perfect player, leading to the Lions taking him third overall.
And in Week One, he’ll get the perfect matchup for his debut. Mitch Trubisky and the Chicago Bears.
In these bold predictions, we’re still committing to the universe where Trubisky puts the Bears on his back and carries the team to a win. But that doesn’t mean that Trubisky will be infallible, far from it. And with Okudah roaming the sidelines, covering the Bears unimpressive cast of pass-catchers (Allen Robinson excluded), the rookie could kick off his NFL career with a game to remember.
Even if he does see limited playing time, as is being reported now, Okudah is good enough to make every snap count. He carries with him the pro-ready skill to make for a dangerous matchup if the Bears choose to throw his way.
