Kenny Golladay & Marvin Jones Break 100 Yards

Speaking of great quarterback play, the Lions get their star under center back as well.

Matthew Stafford will be back as quarterback for Detroit after a season-ending injury in Week 9, one that derailed a season on pace to be one of the best of his career. But Stafford is coming back to finish what he started in 2019, with the help of his offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and his top two pass catchers, Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr.

With Stafford under center, the Lions’ passing attack thrived, as did Golladay and Jones. With the added benefit of Stafford throwing their way once again, the two talented pass-catchers could explode in what should be a return to form for Detroit’s pass-happy mindset.

Golladay managed to record four box scores with over 100 yards in Stafford’s eight games in 2019, with Jones adding another two, but the two receivers combined for just one 100-yard game after losing Stafford. Now that they’re all back together again, and facing a Chicago team that could potentially run-up the score if Trubisky can play well, they will need to throw early and often– which could result in two big days from Jones and Golladay.
