Cardinals & Cowboys Will Combine For Over 60 Points

As it currently sits, ESPN has the Arizona Cardinals as the favorites (-2.5) and has the over/under at 54.5. This is definitely one of the more enticing games to take the over on. Both teams are considered to have weak secondaries and both offenses are explosive.

The Dallas Cowboys currently lead the league in points allowed as they have allowed an average of 36.0 points per game. The Arizona Cardinals on the other hand, rank in the top 5 of scoring defense, only allowing an average of 20.4 points per game. Due to the their poor defense, the Cowboys have one of the best offenses in league, averaging nearly 500 yards per game.

I know I have mentioned it numerous times that the Dallas offense will look different with Andy Dalton. But keep in mind, that Dalton was a starting quarterback who led his team to the playoffs on multiple occasions. He likes to spread the ball around and for the most part, makes smart decisions. If the Cowboys trend continues of poor starts followed by offensive bursts, then this game will be high scoring.

Kyler Murray’s dynamic playmaking ability will cause fits for this Dallas defense. Combine that with the playmaking of DeAndre Hopkins, and it spells disaster for this Dallas defense.
