Kyler Murray Will Have More Rushing TD’s Than Passing TD’s
Cardinals QB Kyler Murray, is one of the fastest QB’s in the NFL. His size combined with his quick feet spell disaster for a struggling defensive line. The Cowboys defensive line has failed to apply pressure on the quarterback. Although Aldon Smith is making a strong case for comeback player of the year, the rest of the line has been under performing.
DeMarcus Lawerence got his first sack of the year in Week 5 against the New York Giants. The Cardinals offensive line is not the best, so it will allow Dallas to have more opportunities at successful pass rush, but Murray is one hard person to get to the ground. Depending on the flow of the game, Murray might be more prone to run rather than go through his reads.
Combine that with designed run plays for him and he can find his way into the end zone more time as a runner then as a passer. In last week’s win over the Jets, Murray threw for 1 touchdown and also rushed for one touchdown. DeAndre Hopkins will require a lot of attention from the Dallas secondary. This will leave Murray with other options, one being his feet.
The Cardinals rely on their run game in the passing game as well, which can occupy the speedy Dallas linebackers, leaving Murray with chances to take off and make plays with his feet.
