2. Austin Jackson
The Dolphins rookie left tackle is playing fairly well to start the season. While he has made mistakes, he is more of a project player than true pug-and-play starter. Miami will need him to have his best week of his young career this week against Jacksonville.
The Jaguars are coming in with two very solid young pass rushers in Josh Allen and K’Lavon Chaisson. If those two can get to Fitzpatrick, it really limits what this offense can do.
Austin Jackson has excellent size and footwork for a rookie tackle. He has all the tools to be a starting tackle for years to come. However, obviously, there are still things he must work on. One of the biggest issues is his hand placement and strength. Jackson must have stronger hands or else defensive ends could easily rip and swim their way towards the quarterback.
If Fitzpatrick has time he has proven to be a capable starting quarterback. Last week, Fitzpatrick had over 300 yards passing and two touchdowns without throwing an interception. However, the week before he had under 200 yards and three interceptions. He has to have time in the pocket to make smart decisions, or else he will force some bad throws into coverage.
