The Dolphins will be testing this Jaguars secondary a lot this week. Philip Rivers threw over 300 yards on them. Ryan Tannehill threw four touchdown passes. As many expected, the weakest link on this Jaguars defense is their secondary. One player who could be in for a big week is Dolphins big play receiver DeVante Parker.

Parker is excellent at stretching the field and making big plays when given the opportunity. He is excellent in one on one coverage at beating his corner.

Against the Titans, the Jaguars’ safeties really had issues covering the deep ball and play-action was killing them. Miami is going to be testing these young corners and safeties a lot this week. If Fitzpatrick can have another game like last week, there is a very good chance Miami wins this game. Parker’s ability to beat the corners will play a big part in Fitzpatrick’s success.

Parker was a little bit of a late bloomer coming into the league. Last season was clearly the best of his career. While he hasn’t been bad and there’s still plenty of games to go, it’s a bit discouraging that Parker has yet to reach 75 receiving yards. This week against the Jaguars he has a solid chance of doing that.
