5 teams who should pursue a trade for Jets star Le’Veon Bell at the deadline

Trades between the Giants and Jets seem odd, like a trade between the Yankees and Mets, or Dodgers and Angels.

But these two teams actually came together on a trade just last season, when the Jets traded former top-five pick Leonard Williams to the Giants.

If the Jets could manage to part with a top-five pick to the team they share a stadium with, they could feasibly do the same with Bell.

Like Carolina, the Giants fit this list due to a horrible injury to their star running back. Saquon Barkley is lost for the season due to an ACL tear, and Bell could step in and provide help to an otherwise young offense.

The difference between the Giants and Panthers, though, is the Giants as of now do not have a path toward contention. That could take them out of the running for Bell, but from purely a positional depth standpoint, the need is there.
