Can Anthony Miller emerge as the No. 2 WR in the offense?
Allen Robinson doesn’t get nearly enough credit for being one of the best wide receivers in the NFL despite having less-than-ideal play at quarterback. Back in 2015, Robinson produced 80 receptions, 1,400 yards, and 14 touchdowns with Blake Bortles as his quarterback. Then, in 2019, Robinson contributed 98 receptions for 1,147 yards and seven touchdowns despite having Trubisky feeding him the ball.
As good as Robinson is, the Bears need someone else to step up in the passing attack. With Taylor Gabriel departing to free agency, Anthony Miller is going to have a remarkable opportunity to solidify himself as the No. 2 moving forward.
Miller has undoubtedly shown that he has the talent to be a great No. 2 option in the offense. However, injuries have prevented him from reaching his full potential. At the least, with more stable play under center (crossing our fingers) and a more clear-cut shot to command targets, Miller has a change to break out for the Bears this season.
