Clear Regression in 2019

Mitchell Trubisky and the Chicago Bears entered the 2019 NFL season with a lot questions being asked as to whether they can replicate what they had accomplished just a year prior.

As we now know, it appears that 2018 season may have been a fluke. Trubisky significantly regressed in his third season, managing only 17 touchdown passes, 10 interceptions, an 83 passer rating and just over 200 yards passing per game, placing him near the bottom in multiple passing statistics.

Once again, Trubisky’s hesitation to push the ball down the field was apparent, and he continued to disappoint both analysts and fans with his inability to play as a confident leader.

Trubisky was unable to carry the Bears to another playoff berth, and as a second overall draft pick, has evidently failed to meet expectations.
