Odell Beckham Jr. Bounces Back
It was a disappointing first-season for Odell Beckham Jr. with the Cleveland Browns. He ended up averaging just 64.7 receiving yards per game and totaled just four touchdown grabs. He simply didn’t produce near the elite results he has shown capable of achieving.
A critical factor in the underwhelming production from Beckham likely had to do with injuries limiting his impact. He dealt with both a sports hernia that was confirmed in December and underwent surgery to repair a core muscle in the following month.
Being healthy to start the 2020 season will naturally help Beckham alone. There are other factors to consider, too. For starters, having a full season to build chemistry with Baker Mayfield and being able to play under head coach Kevin Stefanski instead of Freddie Kitchens should all help.
Having a No. 1 receiver playing at a level that lives up to that label goes a long way for a whole offense. That’s why Beckham turning things around is so important for the Browns and when considering the circumstances, there’s real reason to believe he’ll get it done.
