Carson Wentz Has A Big Year
It appeared as though Carson Wentz was finally going to be able to finish a season healthy and contribute in the playoffs. He appeared in all 16 of the Philadelphia Eagles’ regular-season games for the first time since his rookie campaign, but went down midway through the Wild Card Round.
The execution Wentz provided the Eagles was solid. He completed 63.9 percent of his 607 pass attempts resulting in 4,039 passing yards, 27 touchdown throws, and seven interceptions. Those numbers don’t necessarily jump off the page but the outlook for 2020 is intriguing.
It’s clear the tight end position is already solidified and Wentz experienced the bulk of his success connecting with those particular targets. It will open things up for those receiving threats by adding Jalen Reagor into the mix to better spread the field vertically.
Let’s not forget, Miles Sanders should continue to improve and become more of a staple in the Eagles’ offense, providing Wentz with another big play threat in short-yardage situations. Along with the offensive line staying intact, the supporting cast around Wentz should be considerably better.
