Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers are more desperate then ever for a running back, especially since bringing in Tom Brady on a four-year deal.
It’s clear the Bucs are in a win-now mode, but the backfield is a major concern. Right now, Ronald Jones and LeSean McCoy will look to split duties, but McCoy will be a UFA in 2021. Jones has yet to prove he’s a sure No. 1 running back.
The Bucs have been in the bottom half of the league in rushing every year since 2015, when Doug Martin broke onto the scene. No matter how good the passing game might be, with no rushing attack, the Bucs are handicapping themselves by being a one-dimension offense.
Todd Gurley immediately would come in and be the No. 1 back in the Bay. If the Tom Brady experiment goes as well as it’s hyped up to be, adding Gurley to the mix would make the Buccaneers’ offense go from dangerous to downright lethal.
