3. Indianapolis Colts
The Colts have rebuilt/reloaded the right way, avoiding expensive mistakes in free agency (Le’Veon Bell) and drafting incredibly well. That also has them flush with cap space. Even if their current league high in raw cap space ($113.14 million) for 2021 is naturally reduced by a looming lower cap, Indianapolis is in a great spot.
T.Y. Hilton is entering the final year of his contract, and he’s in good position for a rebound season in 2020. But he’ll be 31 years old in November, and it stands to be hard for him to land a big contract in free agency.
Robinson will still only be 27 years old this coming season. Outside of a torn ACL in Week 1 of 2017, he has avoided major injury since a foot fracture cost him time as a rookie. That feels like a player Colts general manager Chris Ballard would willing invest in as the team’s new No. 1 wide receiver for whoever the quarterback is.
