2. New England Patriots

It’s no secret the Patriots failed to surround Tom Brady with great talent in 2019. With a new quarterback this year (Cam Newton or Jarrett Stidham), it’s not looking substantially better.

Regardless of who their quarterback is in 2020, 2021 and beyond, the Patriots are in position to stock the talent cupboard. Even beating the “lower salary cap drum” again, New England has the fourth-most space in the league right now (via Over The Cap). So they will be able to be aggressive in free agency. Getting a top-end wide receiver might be on the agenda.

That Robinson has succeeded on the level he has with a litany of bad quarterbacks is still unbelievable. Anyone the Patriots will have, or will get, would surely be the best signal caller he has played with.
