5. San Francisco 49ers

If there is one thing the Rams have to do, it is to do anything to make sure that Jalen Ramsey does not land in San Francisco. The 49ers are the reigning NFC champions and they did it using their defense and run game. Nick Bosa has quickly turned into a star, Arik Armstead signed a five-year deal worth $85 million, and Richard Sherman is entering the final year of his deal.

The 49ers signed Sherman away from the Seattle Seahawks with a three-year, $27 million deal. They could do the same to yet another NFC West rival. Ahkello Witherspoon will line up on the other side in the third year of his rookie deal. With Sherman coming off the books following the season, this would free up some space for Ramsey. It would also add a cornerstone piece along with Bosa, Armstead, and Keon Alexander.

San Francisco has built one of the top defenses in the league. To compete with the Chiefs, they will need to keep building the defense. Ramsey would go a long way in attempting to slow down Hill and Mecole Hardman. If Ramsey were to join the Niners, it would completely shake up, not just the NFC West, but the entire conference.
