2. Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins began 0-7 in 2019 and were viewed as one of the worst teams in NFL history. They won five of their final nine games which is a testament to the head coach. It is strange to say this after a 5-11 season, but Brian Flores is the real deal.
The Dolphins have their head coach. This offseason, they have made major strides in trying to complete their team. Miami signed Byron Jones, Kyle Van Noy, Shaq Lawson, and Emmanuel Ogbah in hopes of building up their defense. Jordan Howard and Ereck Flowers are new members of the offense. And then, there was the NFL Draft.
Tua Tagovailoa is officially a Dolphin. After months of speculation and concerns over injuries, Miami added their franchise quarterback. DeVante Parker is signed through 2023 despite having an out after the 2020 season. Mike Gesicki is looking like a solid tight end. The production of Tagovailoa is the main concern of the franchise. How do you speed up the process? Give the young quarterback a weapon, similar to what the Redskins and Jets need to do.
Tagovailoa is an extremely accurate passer. He likes to sling it down the field and adding Schuster would give him a downfield threat. Schuster is a big, physical receiver that would fit perfectly with Chan Gailey in the offense.
