5. Arizona Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals made it clear that they want to have a dynamic offense. They hired Kliff Kingsbury and drafted Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick prior to the 2019 season.
The air-raid attack began in 2019 but it was still a huge work in progress. The Cardinals averaged 6.9 yards per pass attempt in 2019. Murray finished with 3,722 passing yards with 20 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. He added 544 yards on the ground and four touchdowns. The 2019 Offensive Rookie of the Year gave fans hope for the future in year one.
In March, Arizona made a big splash that proved that want to build a strong offense. They sent David Johnson, a second-round pick, and a fourth-round pick in 2021 to the Houston Texans in return for DeAndre Hopkins. The Cardinals now have one of the top receivers in the league. Let’s not forget how Schuster performed opposite Brown over the first two years of his career. Adding Schuster in free agency would create one of the top receiving duos in football and certainly one that is immediately exciting.
The Cardinals will have plenty of cap space in 2021. If they are serious about contending in the tough NFC West, they will need to continue building an offense that can score at will.
