Trade Package: Green Bay Packers trade their 2021 third-round pick to the Tennessee Titans for Corey Davis.

While he has potential, Corey Davis does not seem like the right fit for the Tennessee Titans. They did not pick up the young receiver’s fifth-year option, meaning he is likely going to hit the free-agent market.

It would be wise for Tennessee to trade him while they can before he leaves for nothing. The Packers would be a fantastic fit for Davis. The Titans get good value for a player who has did not fit their scheme while Green Bay gets a wideout who still has a lot of potential.

It is no secret that Tennessee is a running team. They use Derrick Henry to set up the play-action pass and hit AJ Brown who makes big-time plays. Davis is a great athlete, he has a solid frame and has had some very good games. However, Davis is a better fit as a complementary receiver in a more balanced offense.

Tennessee could replace Davis with a veteran free agent. However, getting a third-round pick would help them continuing building and possibly let them become an AFC powerhouse.

The Packers really ran into trouble last season against the 49ers. One reason why was because of a lack of offensive playmakers. Corey Davis is still a very young receiver. Davis is in desperate need of a change of scenery. He is a big target, with very good athleticism.

Having Aaron Rodgers at QB would help with his development while helping the Packers compete in the NFC North. The trade would bring a quality talent who Green Bay can develop, while Tennessee can get a solid mid-round pick for a player that would leave in free agency anyway.
