Patrick Queen Will Lead The Team In Tackles
It’s not common for a rookie to be immeidtwly thrown into a pivotal role on a Super Bowl favorite, but that is the case with Patrick Queen.
The first-round pick out of LSU, Queen was one of the highest-rated linebackers of the 2020 NFL draft class and is joining a defense that gave up the third-least total yards and third-least points scored. There really was only one gap on the Ravens’ defense and that was inside linebacker and now they have one of the top young stars at that position.
The Ravens’ top tackler last season was safety Chuck Clark, who had 73. Patrick Onwuasor led the linebacker group with 64, but he is now on the New York Jets. The main competition for the starting job L.J. Fort and Chris Board. As a first-round talent, Queen should have no problem getting the starting job role.
Queen led LSU in tackles with 85 in their National Title season. The Steelers saw their rookie linebacker Devin Bush lead their team in tackles last season. Queen has that same ability and with a weaker linebacker corps, Queen will lead the team in tackles.
