Finish 1st in NFC West Standings

The San Francisco 49ers may have won the NFC West in 2019, but it wasn’t by a wide margin. In fact, the Seattle Seahawks could have finished with a 12-4 record had they not lost 26-21 to the 49ers in Week 17. The outcome of the game locked in San Francisco finishing 13-3.

Every team is going to have a disappointing loss or two over the course of a full season. There were two losses, in particular, the Seahawks sustained in 2019 that proved to be quite costly beyond their defeat at the hands of the 49ers.

With Jamal Adams now in the mix, the Seahawks now stack up much better with the 49ers in head-to-head matchups. Seattle will be much better equipped to slow down San Francisco’s running game while having a more dynamic zone coverage presence downfield.

The Seahawks have pushed all of their chips into the middle of the table ahead of the 2020 season. It’s an absolute must to win the NFC West if Seattle is going to pull off a lengthy run in the playoffs.
