Final Quarter of Games

Week 14: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This is a game that many could have as a loss but are we that quick to jump on the Bucs’ bandwagon? Their offense should be explosive with Tom Brady throwing the ball to Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, and Rob Gronkowski but these players will not be on defense. Cousins will be confident off two easy wins. If Dalvin Cook stays healthy, the Vikings’ offense will be hot in Tampa.

Vikings 27, Bucs 17 (9-4)

Week 15: vs. Chicago Bears

This is a revenge game for the Vikings and one they cannot afford to lose. They already dropped their game to the Bears and a sweep is not an option. Minnesota will be playing good football heading into this game with an eye on the postseason and a division title. Cousins gets his revenge on a Bears’ defense that maybe turned him over a few times earlier in the season.

Vikings 23, Bears 10 (10-4)

Week 16: at New Orleans Saints

This has to be a game that the Saints have circled on their calendar. The Vikings knocked them out of the playoffs in 2019 on their home field. This game will be in New Orleans and even if there are no fans in the stands, the Saints must defend home field. Every team lays an egg throughout the season.

Saints 38, Vikings 17 (10-5)

Week 17: at Detroit Lions

What a way to finish the season and bounce back from a blowout loss in Week 16. The Lions will not be playing for anything in this game except pride and a draft pick. Who knows, maybe the Vikings have the division locked up and decide to rest some starters. That still should not be enough for the Lions to win this game. While it may be closer than the first matchup, the Vikings will end their season on a victory.

Vikings 23, Lions 16 (11-5)

Final Record Prediction : 11-5

The Vikings have some tough matchups on their schedule. There are a few swing games such as Dallas and Tampa Bay but obviously their key games are against the Packers in Week 1 and Week 8. The Vikings will be a tough team this season. If they do not sweep the Packers, they will have to make up a win somewhere but it is hard to imagine they do not win double-digit games in 2020.
