2020 NFL Draft: Final 7-round mock draft for the Rams

Round 6, Pick 199: Alex Taylor (OT, South Carolina State)

Again, the offensive line is still a major concern for the Rams this offseason. Even with Andrew Whitworth re-signing in free agency, Los Angeles still has questions that need to be answered in the trenches.

Regardless of whether they take one early in the draft or later, grabbing an offensive tackle would be beneficial for the Rams. At 38 years old, Whitworth isn’t going to play forever (or is he?).

Given Whitworth’s age coupled with Los Angeles’ need for depth at tackle, Alex Taylor could be on their radar. Taylor, a small-college prospect from South Carolina State, actually possesses the tools to develop into an eventual starter.

The former high-school basketball star flashed upside as a run blocker while showing he needs some time to fine-tune his game in passing situations. Getting Taylor in the sixth round would be a home-run pick for the Rams, giving them a potential replacement for Whitworth in the future.
