The Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs faced off in an AFC West showdown during Week 5 of the 2020 NFL season. It hasn’t happened in. awhile, but it was the Raiders that came out on top with 40-32 being the final score.
For a game that featured such high scoring totals from both teams, neither squad was able to get off to a hot start. The Chiefs held a 7-3 advantage through the first period.
Both teams caught fire offensively in the second quarter— combining for 38 total points within the frame. It was a 24-24 tie at halftime.
Neither team managed to add points to the board in the third quarter, but the Raiders gained an edge in the final period. Outscoring the Chiefs by a 16-8 margin, Las Vegas executed when it mattered most to come out with the win.
The Chiefs experienced their first loss of the season and now hold a 4-1 record. Next week, they will take on a tough Bills team. Meanwhile, the Raiders now are 3-2 entering a matchup with the Buccaneers.
