4 needs for the Minnesota Vikings in NFL free agency

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Wide Receiver

The Vikings have an elite wide receiver duo in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs and they set the foundation in this area. However, there is a real lack of production from the team’s supporting cast receivers and a clear-cut third best receiver is a need.

Minnesota must determine what their plans are for Laquon Treadwell. His production has been disappointing for a third-option, and on top of that, he’s set to become a free agent. Committing a new contract to him given the tight cap situation could be troublesome.

If the Vikings do not use either free agency or the NFL Draft to address the wide receiver spot, they will need to lean more on the likes of Bisi Johnson, Alexander Hollins, and Davion Davis.
