The Jacksonville Jaguars have experienced a significant amount of roster turnover involving key players. In addition to Yannick Ngakoue, it seems that Leonard Fournette could be another notable departure in the near future.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jaguars ‘have had trade discussions with other teams’ regarding Fournette. It was even regarded as ‘a situation that bears watching as this week’s draft approaches.’
While it seems odd that a critical comment about team personnel would translate to trade rumors, that seems to be what’s happening in this situation. Fournette recently advocated for the Jaguars to sign Cam Newton to ‘get in the best position as we can to win.’
Fournette is coming off a solid season for the Jaguars in 2019 and it would make plenty of sense for teams to be intrigued by the possibility of acquiring him. He recorded 265 carries for 1,152 rushing yards and three touchdowns along with 76 receptions for 522 receiving yards.
With that being said, there are four potential trade destinations for Leonard Fournette that make the most sense.
