Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos began the 2019 season with Joe Flacco under center and got off to a 3-8 start to the season. They managed to go 4-1 during the final five games of the season after turning to Drew Lock as their starting quarterback. They’ll look to build on those results with Lock in 2020.
The passing game of the Broncos achieved genuinely brutal results during the 2019 season. Aside from Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant, there was a crippling lack of talent. They made it a point to address that during the NFL Draft by adding receiver prospects, Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler.
While the Broncos had players like Derek Wolfe and Chris Harris depart in free agency, they made helpful additions to their team. They added A.J. Bouye and Jurrell Casey via trade while their free agency signings were headlined by Melvin Gordon and Shelby Harris.
Having Lock under center for the entirety of the 2020 season instead of Flacco should help alone. Making such impactful additions to the offense should take it a few steps further while the overall impact of their defense should continue to be effective.
